Cruising Route

Cruising is allowed. The shaded green areas indicate a route that should be followed. The route has turn around points at each end as indicated.  All state traffic laws and city ordinances are in effect and will be enforced by local law enforcement and should  be abided by. Please respect the citizens  of Spencer and refrain from cruising through the back streets and neighborhoods or turning around in driveways ect. Always look for children when driving through Spencer.

 Parking

 All event participants are encouraged to park in shaded yellow areas. Please respect the event and allow  the major parking areas to reserved for the street rods and hot rods and motorcycles. Spectators are encouraged to park their vehicles in the North Carolina Transportation Museum parking lots located directly across the street from Suntrust bank.

E-Vac Route

Interstate I-85 is undergoing a widening project that is projected to last a few more years. North Carolina  has a alternate route that is in place in case of emergencies that require I-85 to be rerouted. The route is through Spencer North Carolina's main thoroughfare ( Highway 29). During the Cruzin Round Spencer events a single lane in the south bound lane of Highway 29 (main street) is coned off to provide safety to the event spectators and  participants . In the unlikely event a emergency develops and I-85 is rerouted through Spencer (Highway 29), the Orange Cones must be removed and the lane opened for rerouted I-85 traffic. Officials with the City of Spencer and law enforcement will be notified by NCDOT and NCHP if I-85 must be rerouted. Time is of the utmost  importance Please act quickly wit safety always in mind. Vehicles parked along the street in parking spaces may be moved and parked across the street into the North Carolina Transportation Museum parking lots. A map route line is indicated in red and indicate the parking areas. If you wish to leave your vehicle park in the  parking spaces do so at your own risk, but you are urged to consider relocate your vehicle to a parking lot. In the unlikely event this should arise, you will be notified of a evacuation situation over the loud speaker system and the local law enforcement personnel will  aid in the evacuation of the south bound lane of Highway 29. Traffic could be heavy and a dangerous situation may develop. Everyone attending the Cruising Round Spencer event should exercise extreme caution when approaching Highway 29 (green shaded area) and proceed to the safest area away from the main thoroughfare of Spencer.
